1) What has been your favourite part ?

Year 2 – We enjoyed our drama workshop and dressing up.

Year 3 –  We loved the dress up day – we were hippies

Year 4 – A mum came and taught us 80s style dance. We loved dressing up in the different costumes, we even wore leg warmers!

Year 5 – We enjoyed designing artwork for the display. We designed a guitar and much more which is displayed in the hall.

2) What decade did you learn and what did you learn from that decade?

Year 2 – 90s -We made bucket hats and wore them on the dress-up day. We learnt about board games from the 90s.

Year 3 – 70s – We learnt about the Mr Men characters and that it was a TV show made in the 70s. We learnt about one of the first computer games called pong. Trifles were very popular.

Year 4 – 80s – We learnt about an artist from the 80s.  We learnt about prices from shops and what items were called, for example a Snicker was called a Marathon. We learnt that there were not many channels on TV. We discussed how tape players were used.

Year 5 – 60s – we learned all the different music like the Beatles. Our favourite song was Yellow Submarine!

3) Which teacher-led activity did you enjoy?

Year 2 – We enjoyed making strawberry laces.

Year 3 – We played a game on the iPad where we created cars and we thought about what our dream car would be. We did lots of different styles of dance. We tried lots of popular food.

Year 4  – We looked at lots of different types of games and devices. They used to have very large telephones

Year 5  – We enjoyed line dancing with Mrs Russell and the Disney drawings with Miss Abbott. We liked doing the 60’s circle/the music disc.
