SMSP takes part in Children’s Mental Health Week. This year’s theme was Growing Together; growing emotionally and finding ways to help each other grow. Throughout the week we considered how we have grown and what we can do to help others grow. We learnt that challenges and setbacks can help us to grow and adapt and trying new things can help us to move beyond our comfort zone into a new realm of possibility and potential. During the week some classes created their own ‘support balloons’ in which they considered the people in their lives who help them to grow. Some year groups read and completed activities based on the book ‘The Boy, the Mole the Fox and the Horse’ and the whole school took part in ‘Dress to Express’ day.
