What is the role of a Class Rep?
Being a Class Rep is an important and rewarding role. Class Reps help build a sense of community among the class parents, and assist the class teachers and school in reinforcing some of the day-to-day communications and reminders.
- Class Reps lead the organisation of key fundraising events to raise vital funds for the school. This includes drumming up enthusiasm and attendance for all events, not just the events organised by their year group.
- Class reps help provide the link between parents and the Friends Committee by;
- Being an active member of the Friend’s association (PTA), with a voice and a right to vote on all decisions.
- Contributing ideas for new events and fundraising initiatives, including communicating feedback from parents.
- Providing detailed updates on events they are organising.
If you are interested in being a class rep, please speak to your existing reps, as they will be looking for new reps at the start of the summer term for the following school year. Alternatively, contact the Friends Committee.
