St Mary’s & St Peter’s C E Primary School is a Voluntary Aided Church of England School.

St Mary’s and St. Peter’s is a voluntary aided primary school founded by the Church of England to provide education for the children of Teddington. The school is sponsored by the Parish Church of Teddington, St. Mary with St Alban and, for the purposes of admissions, St Michael and St George.

We enjoy a strong and meaningful relationship with our local churches and clergy, which plays a vital role in the spiritual life of our school community. Year groups regularly visit the churches as part of their learning in Religious Education, deepening their understanding of Christianity in authentic, sacred spaces.

Pupils take an active role in leading worship and services throughout the liturgical calendar, fostering confidence, ownership of faith and a sense of belonging. Our clergy are a visible and valued presence in school life, offering spiritual guidance, leading acts of worship and supporting the pastoral wellbeing of both pupils and staff. Their involvement enriches our collective worship and ensures that faith remains a living, relational aspect of our daily experience.

Our school offers a nurturing and contemporary environment for learning, where children feel safe, inspired and empowered. Set within attractive, well-maintained grounds, the school has been thoughtfully modernised and extended to provide high-quality facilities that support a broad and engaging curriculum.

Each year group benefits from its own dedicated room for small-group work, alongside spacious, well-equipped classrooms. We are proud to offer specialist learning spaces including a dedicated music room and a vibrant library housed in our light-filled Atrium, which serves as a hub for quiet reading and study.

Our two halls enhance both academic and extra-curricular life. The larger hall is used for collective worship, lunches, PE, performances, KOOSA and arts events. The smaller hall, featuring a mirrored wall, is ideal for music, dance, drama and parent workshops.

Outdoor learning and play are equally prioritised. We provide separate playgrounds for infant and junior pupils, along with a bespoke area for reception-aged children. Our expansive grassed field includes a full-sized football pitch and accommodates seasonal sports such as athletics, rugby, cricket and rounders. The Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA) ensures high-quality physical activity can take place all year round.

In support of our commitment to environmental awareness and outdoor learning, we maintain garden areas that offer rich habitats for exploration and discovery. These spaces promote hands-on
